Qualifications

  • The prospective hire is expected to be familiar with agency’s goals, congressional mandates, and challenges
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related business or technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development, Capture Management
  • Alternatively, experience as a Program Lead or Technical Lead in the federal market can substitute for this requirement, provided there is at least 1 year of experience in BD/Capture
  • Understanding, knowledge and experience of IT services and Training solutions
  • Current familiarity with the USDA community most favorable
  • Experience leading and capturing business pursuits through opportunity identification, qualification, capture, and proposal phases
  • Highly effective communicator both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business software
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • The selected candidate is responsible for developing a detailed knowledge base of the customer and competitors while maintaining dynamic market awareness
  • He/she will evaluate market trends and develop business cases that align with the customer’s requirements
  • This position will report to the VP of Client Relations and Growth
  • Create, identify, and qualify opportunities that align with the company’s strategic and annual goals
  • Formulate winning strategies and develop capture plans
  • Help achieve sales goals through winning new business
  • Interface with customer and partner communities
  • Build customer relationships through effective communications
  • Perform and/or lead research efforts to build a deep capture pipeline and continually prioritizes efforts to maximize return
  • Lead the proposal team in the development of technical and business proposal responses
  • Other duties as assigned
