Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field, with at least three years of experience in a laboratory setting
  • Essential requirements for this role include strong technical knowledge of analytical chemistry and spectroscopy, the ability to interpret and evaluate analytical data, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate data related to food and drug safety
  • Utilize spectroscopy and other analytical chemistry techniques to determine the safety of food and drugs
  • Develop and implement testing procedures and protocols for the purpose of product evaluation
  • Assist in the development of new technologies and methodologies to improve safety testing
  • Evaluate and document test results for use in regulatory decisions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all testing activities
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure compliance with FDA standards
  • Provide technical support and consultation to other departments within the FDA
  • Stay abreast of current industry trends and regulations
  • Participate in research activities related to food and drug safety
