Job Description
Position Description
– Sample accessioning, documentation and reporting
– DNA and RNA isolation from various biological materials
– Quality control of isolated nucleic acids (OD measurements, Agilent, qPCR)
– NGS library preparation and quality control (qPCR, Agilent/TapeStation)
– Be comfortable with learning new NGS library preparation techniques as needed
– Planning and execution of analyses, documentation of results
– General laboratory activities such as laboratory maintenance, equipment maintenance and ordering materials
– Carrying out repetitive laboratory tasks and processing large numbers of samples
Position Requirements
– BS in biology with minimum 2 years of laboratory experience
– Current Molecular biology laboratory experience is preferred
– Minimum 1 year experience in nucleic acid isolation techniques, PCR, high throughput sample processing
– Experience with NGS preferred
– Must be comfortable with processing large numbers of samples in a given timeframe and constant use of pipettes
– Experience in working under ISO9001 or other QA environments desirable
– Good computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
– Must be able to communicate/write well in English
