Position Description

This position will be a strong leader who can oversee specific site related safety requirements along with establishing and maintaining a new system to support ISO14001/45001 implementation.

Responsibilities Include

  • Establishment of ISO 14001 and 45001 program along with maintenance of this system
  • Facilitate safety committee meetings
  • Implement risk assessments and safety inspection
  • Incident response, investigations, and root cause analysis
  • CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) task management in Data Management System
  • SDS Management Systems
  • Internal communications
  • Bulletins and notifications
  • Safety presentations and training
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite manager and reporting systems
  • Supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal & state laws
  • Conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree (AA) in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in related Safety, Health, and Environmental specialty
  • Experience with emergency response program development and implementation
  • Process safety
  • Lab experience and knowledge strongly preferred
  • Highly detailed, strong and organized safety professional with excellent writing skills who can conduct gap assessments and write SOP and filing documents
  • Comfortable working with potentially hazardous materials
  • Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to manager, including ergonomics
  • Manage inventory and waste management
  • Other duties as required

Personal Requirements

  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent Presentation and writing skills
  • Excellent computer skills and an understanding of the Microsoft Office suite
