Position Description
This position will be a strong leader who can oversee specific site related safety requirements along with establishing and maintaining a new system to support ISO14001/45001 implementation.
Responsibilities Include
- Establishment of ISO 14001 and 45001 program along with maintenance of this system
- Facilitate safety committee meetings
- Implement risk assessments and safety inspection
- Incident response, investigations, and root cause analysis
- CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) task management in Data Management System
- SDS Management Systems
- Internal communications
- Bulletins and notifications
- Safety presentations and training
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite manager and reporting systems
- Supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal & state laws
- Conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions
Position Requirements
- Minimum of an Associates Degree (AA) in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in related Safety, Health, and Environmental specialty
- Experience with emergency response program development and implementation
- Process safety
- Lab experience and knowledge strongly preferred
- Highly detailed, strong and organized safety professional with excellent writing skills who can conduct gap assessments and write SOP and filing documents
- Comfortable working with potentially hazardous materials
- Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to manager, including ergonomics
- Manage inventory and waste management
- Other duties as required
Personal Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Excellent Presentation and writing skills
- Excellent computer skills and an understanding of the Microsoft Office suite
