Job Description
At MilliporeSigma, as the Lab Maintenance Technician 1- 3rd shift, you are responsible for a wide variety of assignments from minor to moderately complex. Work may range from adjustment and minor repairs to assisting with the complete overhaul of heavy/complex equipment.
- 3rd shift – 9pm – 5:30am
- Complete all training objectives on time (Safety, SOPs, OJT).
- Ability to perform minor building and equipment repairs independently using a wide variety of tools and equipment.
- Performs weekly and quarterly generator testing, safety checks of fire extinguishers and safety showers.
- Operates autoclaves to dispose of lab waste.
- Completes work order request for various tasks, meeting room resets, creation of lab signage, changing ceiling tiles and other tasks.
- Tours facilities to conduct building mechanical system checks and documents accordingly.
- Corrects/reports unsafe conditions, blocked exits, fire hazards, uncontrolled water flow, etc..
- Responsible for the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of all documentation i.e. PM task sheets, work records, logbooks, etc., generated during the shift.
- Performs tasks in accordance with SOPs and regulations.
- Complies with company health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Performs duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Attributes:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Wear PPE such as lab coats, shoe covers, gloves and masks.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in GxP environment
- Lab, clean room or mechanical experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of applicable computer systems i.e. Excel, Word, etc
- Ability to learn new software for Work record completion / generation
- Ability to learn new software for Building/Environmental Management Systems
