Job Description
Overview: Jecho Laboratories, Inc. (Jecho) is a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative
therapeutic biologics, including therapeutic monoclonal antibodies, cytokines, immunotoxins, and
vaccines to address a broad range of diseases as well as treatment of cancer and infectious disease. The
company is located in Frederick MD and has multiple drug candidates at various clinical stages.
We are seeking a Process Development Associate to join our R&D in Frederick, MD. Qualified
individuals will execute small-scale cell culture process development and basic analytical studies. The
ideal candidate will make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and exercise appropriate
technical judgment in the execution of studies. The candidate will receive general instructions from a
supervisor for routine work and tasks. The candidate is expected to be eager to learn, highly productive,
well-organized, and self-motivated.
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform mammalian cell culture and analyses such as transfection, maintaining cell culture and
subculture, clone screening, and cell banking.
• Perform process development activities such as culture condition optimization and process scale-up
in bench-top bioreactors.
• Conduct routine biological and physiochemical assays, such as SDS-PAGE, WB, ELISA, and
HPLC.
• Generate and maintain experimental data in a highly organized manner.
• Write experiment and process reports.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biological science, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related
fields.
• 0-5 years’ industry experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology field.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented laboratory practice.
• Ability to work effectively as a cross-functional team member.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture, cell line maintenance, and bioreactors is preferred.
• This position may require you standing/sitting/walking in the lab for routinely 8 hours and
sometimes up to 12 hours, as well as lifting weight up to 30 pounds.
