Responsibilities
- Summary This position is located in the Office of Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs which serves to promote and protect the Agency within the USG trade policy context and within global governance (and global health) arenas on cross-cutting issues whenever global trade interests intersect with the Agency’s ability to ensure the safety and quality of food products it regulates
- Responsibilities Represent the Agency within the trade policy context and within global governance and global health arenas on cross-cutting issues
- Serves as a coordinator and interface for a cadre of experts across the Agency, including regulatory staff and regulatory development teams
- Apply Communications skills, interpersonal relations and analytical skills to advise management officials on the problems encountered in developing public health policies
- Engage across institutions and government levels and with varied stakeholders and partners for successful deliberations and negotiations
- Experience that would not normally be part of the employee’s position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee’s supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment
