Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform laboratory work, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory work in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain clear and detailed laboratory records and perform data entry as needed.
- Prepare reagents and package kits under supervision.
- Maintain inventories of reagents, kits, and samples as required.
- Conduct laboratory activities in compliance with regulatory and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Ensure experimental records and raw data are secure to protect data integrity, with supervision.
- Order necessary supplies and materials.
- Work safely with potentially hazardous substances and exercise universal precautions.
- Function effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere and work independently when necessary.
- Learn new systems such as automated liquid handlers and cell culture techniques.
Essential Skills
- BA/BS in Biological or Physical Sciences with at least six months to one year of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of GLP regulations.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Self-starter, motivated, and takes initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Resourceful, diplomatic, and professional with a can-do attitude.
- Adaptable and able to shift priorities as needed.
- Strong analytical skills and organized, able to meet tight schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including listening and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Adherence to all company safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and policies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with sample testing, serological detection, and automated liquid handling systems like FlexImmArray.
Work Environment
The position involves working in a biology laboratory environment and performing desk work for record keeping. The role requires adherence to safety practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
