Job Description
 Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Master’s Degree Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, or related field. (Preferred)
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field. (Preferred)
Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field. (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
7 years experience in employee wellness, healthcare HR, or a related field. (Required)
Proven success in designing and implementing wellbeing programs at an
organizational level. (Required)
Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment (preferred)
Conducting research and producing publications (preferred)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
Demonstrated success in addressing and reducing healthcare industry challenges, particularly regarding burnout and mental health
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions on program efficacy
Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices in employee wellbeing
Organizational research and design
Ability to influence, negotiate, and navigate within peer relationships in order to achieve the best outcomes
Functional Accountabilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and administration of new and existing programs to promote employee’s overall health and wellness (e.g., health screenings, physical fitness, mental health, events and classes, health coaching, stress management, nutrition), ensuring programs align with the organization’s short-term and long-term business goals and objectives.
- Ensure all programs are designed and administered to maintain market competitiveness and in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
- Identify and measure key success metrics to determine and ensure effectiveness of programs.
- Oversee cross-functional wellbeing steering committee consisting of leaders across the hospital on behalf of VP of HR
- Oversee the work team (can include wellness program manager(s), social worker(s) serving as Employee Mental Health Specialist(s), etc.)
- Evaluate and recommend Program Certifications and Publication opportunities
- Create and manage a wellbeing funding sources and budget to optimize value, effectiveness and efficiency, and demonstrate measurable results to validate investment
